I enjoyed making the Citizen Kane Dishcloth as part of the Ravelry Dishcloth knit along, but noticed that mine looked different, just a little tighter than others. To try to fix it, I got a larger needle, size 8 and tried again. But I neglected to read the directions correctly and came up with an Oops Dishcloth, which I liked just as much. Will have to try the real pattern again to get the lacy effect.
Here's the Oops pattern-
Cast on 39 stitches, Knit 4 rows for a total of 2 ridges
Row one- Knit 3 for border and then *K1 YO K2T*- repeat to last three stitches - Knit 3 for border
Row two- Knit across
Repeat these two rows to desired length and end with 4 knit rows.
Now how easy can that be? Mindless knitting for a pretty ridged cloth.
That's how patterns come about ~ you were being creative and you didn't know it!
