And here I thought Bert was the neurotic one. But of course my blogging friend, The Gal Herself would be Ernie. At least I'm not Oscar the Grouch or Grover...have you seen the Urban Myth rumor that Sesame Street has become politically correct and Cookie Monster is now the Veggie Monster- Not true! At least Sesame Street had some good songs and sketchs that kept me entertained along with my kids 17 years ago, wonder how much it's changed? We used to have a four cartridge set of the Sesame Street songs for the car and I bet if I asked any of my kids how to sing any of the songs, they would remember.
I love Sesame Street, though haven't seen it lately. Just found a whole stack of Sesame Street books that the boys loved to pieces (literally), but I can't throw them away. My father-in-law was friends with Jim Henson...ain't that a kick?

I guess if I had my pick I'd pick Ernie too, As an adult, you realize can see how 'anal' in some ways these geniuses of characters really are - I'm so glad there's somebody else like you who lately has written a blog on Ernie and Bert. I was thinking about them and loving the childhood memories too.

It looks like I'll be joining you with my 'Bert' like personality. I kind of thought it would be Bert even though part of me hoped to be Ernie. I like to think I'm Ernie but deep down I know I am a Bert.
