Thursday Thirteen, #30: 13 Tough Questions Answered

In our lives we are faced with tough questions and I do much better when given a choice. The following are 13 difficult choices that I have decided to share with you. Please let me know if there are better choices out there or if you have a good argument against my choice, go ahead, get tough, I can take it.

1. Working out: Yoga or Boot Camp like exercises.
Yoga- I can at least fake it.

2. Peanut Butter and Jelly or Peanut Butter and Fluff
Jelly, hands down since it's such a comfort food

3. Frozen Margaritas or Margaritas on ice
Definitely on ice, don't want to drink it like it's a slushy

4. Clogs or Heels
I'm already tall enough, let me have the comfort.

5. Apples or Oranges
Apples- Too much work for oranges and isn't it always a bummer when they have no taste?

6. Sleeping or getting up early to walk
Yea, that would be sleeping!

7. Cheeseburgers or Hamburgers
Cheeseburgers, cheeseburgers, cheeseburgers: I just had a flashback to when I was in college and we had this guy in the middle of our quad, right outside my window who made the best cheeseburger subs. Imagine eating three greasy cheeseburgers on a sub roll. It was to die for!

8. Sandwiches or wraps
Wrap, unless someone else is doing the prep, then I'm never picky

Cinnamon Rolls

9. Cinnamon Buns or Donuts
Warm cinnamon buns and just check out this recipe.

10. Malcolm at Pop Culture Dish had a tough poll this week....Who is your favorite James Bond?
That would have to be Sean Connery for me, but then I wouldn't kick Pierce Brosnan out of bed.

11. Books: Romance or Thriller
Romance, life is thrilling enough.

12. Telling a client what they want to hear or the truth
Truth- it will never come back to bite you.

13. Dear Abby or Ann Landers
Growing up it was Ann Landers and based on the current Dear Abby- Ann for me!

But if you want to have some fun writing creatively writing a Dear Abby letter, check out Shelly's This Eclectic Life for her latest contest. My entry is deadly!

The banner is from Boho Rhap who has been having some fun making banners.

  1. First off, thanks for the plug at #10. I would go with donuts over cinnamon buns... but it would be a tough choice.

Did you ever see the TV movie bio about Dear Abby and Ann Landers? It wasn't too bad. What was kinda funny is that Just Shoot Me's Wendie Malick (who is 5'10") played a dual role as the sisters (who were only 5'2").

  2. Can I have both donuts AND cinnamon buns? I promise to burn off the calories with a bike ride. Or spin class. You choose; you seem more decisive than I am (although I'm crazy enough to choose both the bike ride AND spin class. Just... not on the same day.)

    Happy TT, darling!

  3. I agree with you on most, except for #11- I have to go for the thriller. Guess my life isn't thrilling enough!

  4. I'm with you on the sleeping, on the wraps also...

    Great TT!!!

  5. Wow, I think I agree on all fronts...No wait Pierce for me, but Sean Connery is no slouch;)...

  6. Peanut butter and Fluff!?! Not while there's still breath in me.

Peanut butter and jelly, absolutely. I've been a Welch's grape jelly girl from way back.

Wow, this is such a great idea for list and I agree with you on all fronts. How fun!

  8. I thought I was the only weird kid who read Ann Landers! I loved it when she admonished someone to "wake up and smell the coffee, Bub!"

And I like a Fluffernutter every now and then, but prefer PBJ on a more regular basis.

  9. When Mom's health was starting to fail, one of her most favorite comfort foods was a peanut butter and fluff sandwich :-)

  10. Hmmm. Jelly, donuts and Sean Connery...sounds like very good choices to me.

  11. I would rather have peanutbutter and sliced BANANAS on my sandwich!

Again, I love your new header but think it needs your name on it too. Ü

  13. My favorite Bond was Timothy Daulton.

I know. There's something wrong with me. But he was my favorite until he made that awful hairdresser movie with Fran Drescher, at which point he became dead to me.

  14. Have you tried Pioneerwomancooks.com cinnamon buns? Maybe the same recipe didn't compare them.

That's a great idea for a T13! I used to try to get up early to walk; alas, I am a chronic night owl. Now I do my walking just before it gets dark. :)

Happy T13, and thanks for visiting mine!

I agree on 6 and disagree on 11.

  20. I adore Pierce Brosnan ... and cinnamon buns. Enough said, huh?
    lol!
    Great TT!
hope you don't mind -- love your blog and linked it over on mine!!

  21. Tough choice... Daniel Craig or Timothy Dalton? I've had a thing for Timothy ever since he was in Wuthering Heights a mazillion and a half years ago, but Daniel Craig was absolutely amazing in Casino Royale, so Daniel it is.

I love donuts, loathe cinnamon anything. Heels, sleeping in, wraps, apples, yoga, romance, Ann and telling it like it is!

This was a great list. The banner was just right and thank you for the link. Hmmm, maybe I will do a TT this week, there's still time!

  22. Cool list. I was going to say PB and banana (if you really want to splurge drizzle a little honey on the banana and add a few raisins), or you could always throw some chocolate chips on the fluff. Happy TT!

  23. Hey, jen. . . I got an email that said you had posted a comment on my blog. I have no idea which one tho because I never received i in email to read the whole thing. I tried to find it but couldn't. This si what it said:
    " Ha, a teacher cheating...
    Thanks for joining in.

    (What are you talking about?)

What internet browser do you use? I do have J's Thoughts and Musings showing on Firefox. Although on my archive pages, it's a different color."

Where in the world did you write that to me?

I use Safari on my iMac but I guess I could change to Firefox when I read your posts from now on. NO name of blog on safari. :o(

Timothy Dalton is my FAVORITE, but Sean Connery is the real Bond...the only TRUE Bond.

    I love my clogs.

  25. I would say no Donuts no Peanut butter, oranges instead, lol ! And life is not as thrilling as in a Thriller ! Or do you have a killer running around your house ??

    ReplyDelete
  26. Definitely donuts over cinammon buns, and sandwiches (on really good homemade bread) over wraps any day. Wraps are for burritos.

  27. Exercise or sex?
Okay, you know where my mind is at.

  28. I have to say I've only had a frozen margarita so I'm not sure if it's better frozen or with ice and I've never had peanut butter and fluff but I'm almost positive I'd prefer the jam. As I get older I like sickly sweet things less and less.

#4, oh yeah it's all about the comfort - why torture ourselves just to have perfect calves...lol!

I am also with you on the cinnamon bun - especially if it has some delicious cream cheese icing drizzled over top...lol!

  30. I mostly agree with you, but I like my margaritas frozen. Fonda del Claustro here does a lovely mango one. Yum!

  31. I think I would choose all the same answers as you, except I have to agree with SHG and go with donuts and cinnamon buns. I'll work it off swimming laps in the pool or something. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  32. I have no idea what Fluff one might possibly eat with peanut butter. I think I may be safer not knowing ;-)

    Happy TT13!

  33. I posted the wrong url in the mr. linky. Todays' TT is here: http://callistasramblings.blogspot.com/2007/09/thursday-thirteen-12-pet-pictures.html

  34. If I get up early and go for a walk, can I have donuts & cinnamon rolls? LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous7:23 PM

I would have to go with Pierce first, Sean is losing ground. Frozen margaritas were my first, but now just tequila line and salt.

Oranges were about to win until you reminded me how tasteless many are... good idea for TT.

  36. I disagree on 6 and 11:) I love thrillers and would rather get up early even though I stay up til 2am.
