Manic Monday: Clue

It's Manic Monday and today's word was CLUE. I purposely wrote my post before reading anybody else's post because I SUSPECT that more than 90% of the posts will have the same theme as mine.

How could I write about the word Clue without talking about the best game in the world for a family to play? Even when kids become teenagers, figuring out who got killed in what room with what weapon is still a family favorite. Why? Because it's all about following the clues, listening to others and paying attention. It's not about screwing your family by charging rent for landing on spot (Monopoly) or invading their country (Risk) or even the luck of dice(Yahtzee). Nope, Clue is a "keepa" in my family game cabinet since we never grow tired of Colonel Mustard and his pals in the mansion. We forgot to bring it with us on vacation this year and the kids asked for it when the alternative was Monopoly which as you may have recalled from an earlier post...I beat them when it's my least favorite game. Clue is a kinder, gentler game for the family.

Yep, I wrote about the same game--loved it as a child (and now as an adult). Great post! Have a great week.

I used to like playing Clue as a kid, though haven`t done so in years. I like board games but don`t have anyone to play them with... same with cards. Oh well, life goes on, hahaha

    Have a great week.

  6. So if I understand well, instead of selling houses or having luck with dices, you prefer to murder people, lol ! I didn't have any clue about this game, never heard of it, but became a specialist today !

  11. The number of people who immediately leaped to the game and/or the movie of the game shows the gentle appeal it has for everyone.

  12. I have to say this is my all-time favorite as well. It's a classic all the way. A few years back I had the Clue Museum Caper that was a lot of fun too.

I think ours needs replacing maybe it can be the pickle prize this year!

"...It's not about screwing your family..."

This is good as that sort of behaviour is relatively boring.
Beats necrophilia as this is dead boring!
