Tomorrow is the Reason....

A Tee shot in Nova Scotia, 2004

Tomorrow is the reason that I took a cut in pay, reduced my stress along with my health insurance benefits. Call me crazy, selfish or stupid, but the four years I spent teaching led to a gain of 30 pounds. I missed my friends, the ability to have fun during the day and the time to get work done around the house. But I really missed the quiet of the golf course, the dew on the grass, the glorious sound of a ball hit well, the arc of the ball flying over my friends' golf balls and the hilarious banter of friends ribbing each other before teeing off. Yep, tomorrow the girls go golfing.

  1. You have a lot of pics from Nova Scotia - do you get there often?

I don't think I could golf to save my life - but I imagine if you liked it, it could be a lot of fun.

  2. Nova Scotia:
My grandmother was born there, my dad spent summers there as a kid with his grandmother. In 1971, my parents took us up there to visit our great aunts and uncles. We ended up having a blast with third cousins and in 1975 they bought a shack basically from a cousin. I have gone up there every summer except one for 32 years.
The shack is not a shack anymore....lol

  3. I don't golf, and have never had the desire too. I do, however, know what you mean about the dew on the grass. I just love the morning dew! :)

What a great Nova Scotia story!

  4. Enjoyed reading about your "passion" for golf! I have never played it . . . well, one time, a long time ago. . . it was miniature golf tho! hehehe

You mean during those 4 years you never took a personal day to golf? Sounds like it would be a health day to me. Ü

  5. I have always wanted to go there. I also want to visit P.E.I! There are so many beautiful places to visit back east as well as here on the prairies.

I didn't get to visit last night. When the spousal unit took over the computer, I gave up and went to bed! I hope your day of golf was good! You deserve it.
