When Death interupts life as we know it

This past week has been spent with family as we dealt with the death of a loved one. It was expected, but that expectation did not make it any easier. It's still too soon to write more about it. But the experience brought some of us closer and made me realize that even though I am not a church goer, that religion is still very important. And when I go....I want someone to pray a "kick butt" prayer over me.

I am still around reading blogs, but just really tired and drained. After this weekend, I may just write again...until then, visit a family member that you have thought of, but haven't made the time to visit.

  3. ~Hugs~ I know how hard it is to lose someone, I hope the people around you help deal with the loss.

I agree with the kick butt prayers. I managed to get 3 priests for my Granny's funeral in January and it was an amazing farewell for a wonderful life.

  4. I am so sorry for your loss and I truly understand how you are feeling presently because just 6 days ago I found out that my last brother died in Idaho. The "service" will be performed on a ship as his ashes are dumped at sea. He had a career in the Navy and this is his wish. I haven't been posting nor have I been reading blogs until today. Yours is the only one I felt like leaving a comment because of circumstances that we are both going thru right now. Blessings to you all!

{{{{{Jen}}}}} Take care. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

So sorry to hear of your loss Jen. I haven't been blogging 'regularly' ever since I lost my dad last year this month but as people all over told us then, it does get easier with time, however unbelievable it was at the time! So take good care of yourself. My prayers are with you and your family.
