What Cats Do When They Think You're Not Watching

It's been almost a year since Mini and Stash entered our home and here is the update. Mini seems to think that my kitchen is her personal gym. Whereas Stash is still trying to fit in with the big cats.

Mini was caught at 11:30 one night in the kitchen by my son who was still awake. Knowing her feline intellect, I think it was a flying insect that led her to that level of kitchen appliances.

Stash is a our "dumb Blonde" cat, sorry to the few blonde readers that might be reading this...but it's true. He's always trying to fit in and it's awkward to watch. Or better yet, he loves sleeping on the top step of the stairs closest to where anyone just might be. We all put the lights on when we use the stairs.

However both cats have discovered the dropped ceiling in the basement, where they hop up to a casement window, about 6 ft up and then get into the ceiling. I personally have not seen this, but the boys have had the cats fall through the ceiling while they are downstairs playing video games. Have to say that cats do add constant amusement to our home.

  1. Poor Stash! He reminds me of my big lug of a tomcat, Joey. Some felines have cat charisma and some, alas, don't.

I love how fluffy her tail looks as she enjoys her appliance traveling.

Oh those cats are a mess, aren't they? I know mine get on top of the refrigerator when I'm not looking. They know they aren't supposed to be there, so when I come around the corner I always hear, "kerthunk" as they hit the floor. Then, they give that "innocent look." You know the one I mean.

  5. I love how cats love to fit in places they just shouldn't. Ginger is always doing that, she forgets how big her toosh is and she thinks she is the size of a kitten at times. She loves to hide in strange places, bookshelves and bathroom cupboards and tries to squeeze into small boxes and of course shopping bags are the best!

  6. Cats are crazy! :) I absolutely love that first shot. The light patterns on the floor make it a very interesting photo
